I’ve always been one of life’s organisers – the annoying one with the spreadsheets who knows where everything is and when everything is happening.  This served me well for many years as a single mum holding down 2 jobs but doesn’t allow for much joy

Sitting quietly in the background was my love of all things floral. 

Whilst it’s hard to replace the serenity and joy of being surrounded by flowers, particularly if you’ve grown them yourself, a very close second is my obsession with floral serviettes.  After so many years I’m incapable of seeing one without thinking about what I could decoupage with it.

My daughter and I were lucky enough to move to West Cornwall 20 years ago where creativity is embraced and nurtured.  I still didn’t quite have time until recently to launch this business.  But then the hunt for the name... Bryher Designs is a nod to my granddaughter who is just too young at the moment to join in the fun – don’t worry Nanny will be ready as soon as she is.

If at all possible, why wouldn’t you surround yourself with beauty? I’ve tried to immerse my home in things that make me happy, sitting amongst plants and decoupage – life is good.
